  • Health-oriented initiatives include: (a) reforms and improvements to health services, medical security and health-and-safety monitoring systems, and the further development of basic medical treatments, preventive care and convalescence services; (b) the implementation of regional health planning and optimization of the deployment of health resources; (c) great emphasis on hygiene and the prevention of illness, and greater efforts to prevent and control frequently occurring endemic, occupational and infectious diseases; (d) further development of traditional Chinese medicine, while promoting the integration of Chinese and Western medicine; (e) efforts to overcome the most basic health and medical care issues that persist in rural communities by perfecting primary health-care services in these communities, increasing essential facilities and promoting cooperative use of facilities where geographical factors favour it.
    وتشمل المبادرات ذات الأغراض الصحية ما يلي: (أ) إصلاح وتحسين الخدمات الصحية، والأمن الطبي، ونظم رصد الصحة والسلامة، وتطوير العلاج الطبي الأساسي، والرعاية الوقائية، وخدمات النقاهة؛ (ب) تنفيذ التخطيط الصحي الإقليمي والتوزيع الأمثل للموارد الصحية؛ (ج) التركيز الشديد على النظافة والوقاية من الأمراض، وبذل المزيد من الجهود لمنع ومكافحة الأمراض الكثيرة الحدوث، والأمراض المهنية والأمراض المعدية؛ (د) تطوير الطب التقليدي الصيني، وفي نفس الوقت تشجيع التكامل بين الطب الصيني والطب الغربي؛ (ه‍) بذل الجهود لمعالجة أهم القضايا الأساسية في مجالي الصحة والرعاية الطبية المستمرة في المجتمعات المحلية الريفية عن طريق تحسين خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأولية في تلك المجتمعات، وذلك بزيادة المرافق الأساسية وتشجيع الاشتراك في استعمال المرافق حيثما سمحت العوامل الجغرافية.
